Lost In Time
Recollections
We are born, heroes and heroines, embarking on a journey of the heart. Events unfold before and after us, because of us and not because of us. People come into our lives and leave our lives; we touch the hearts of others as we travel through. Conditioned by our experiences, we cannot help the way it is - we can only pray that the seed of life was, in fact, Love.
"Lost in Time" was inspired by a true story. A man, desperate to recover lost feelings of love for the woman he is with, has a dream from which he discovers their fate. One night, as she lies sleeping next to him, he dreams that he returns to the place in which their love for each other had once dwelt, so strong and beautiful. Here he searches for her, but alas, she is not there.
When he wakes up his eyes are full of tears, and he begins to contemplate the dream's meaning. As the final few bars of the tune tell us "...and so he came and he saw she was gone evermore, lost in time".
Life is like a dream. We are children running through a meadow, the stars above reflecting in us. At the end of the day we are left with memories not unlike those of a dream - recollections of our lifetime, the events of which are all, inevitably, lost in time. This album is dedicated to everything I have loved in mine.
